Diwali Hamper Drive

The Umhlanga Hindu Society (UHS) once again invites you to participate in our annual Diwali Hamper Drive, a Seva/Charity initiative to assist families and children in need, during Diwali, the festival of lights. Diwali is a spiritually uplifting and joyous festival. It is a time to express our goodwill and caring for the less fortunate in our communities. Our sincere gratitude to all of you for your contributions towards the 2017 Diwali Hamper Drive. Appeal For Funds For Diwali Hampers

The Umhlanga Hindu Society (UHS) takes great pleasure, once again, in announcing an ongoing Charity/Seva initiative to assist the poor and disadvantaged, abandoned, HIV/AIDS orphaned children and child headed households. We take this opportunity to thank you for assisting us in the 2012 Diwali Collection, where the UHS distributed in excess of 200 hampers to disadvantaged families and children at Brookdale Primary School, at the Ganesh Temple, Abused Women and HIV affected families in the Phoenix area as well as the underprivileged families that were identified by the Phoenix Child and Family Welfare Organisation. The UHS has planned to distribute hampers to the value of R150.00 each, consisting of essential perishable and non-perishable groceries including biscuits and sweets.

We once again humbly appeal to you to assist us with this privilege and honour of serving the needy.
